1 、Purpose of building the website

The purpose of establishing such a personal website is to display some of my personal ideas, interests and certain concepts on a semi-open platform.

The original idea for a personal website stemmed from my belief that the more humans know about each other, the less they will argue. In my observations of life and the Internet, I find that people always fight because they disagree on some point of view. Most of these disputes stem from the fact that in their own environment and circles, they have developed values that are different from those of other people in different environments and circles. I feel that if everyone could simply get to know each other from more than one side before arguing, it would fundamentally resolve a lot of arguments. Therefore, such a semi-open platform can be regarded as my practice of this idea, after all, I believe that when I want to change others, I need to change myself first.

Secondly, building a website is also to some extent a record of what I am doing and what I am thinking at a certain moment. Think of it, perhaps, as a clearer and more public diary. Unlike a private journal written on paper, it belongs to me and my friends, to everyone. Perhaps this can also be regarded as one of the proofs of my existence in this world, because it records part of the thoughts in my mind at a certain moment, and it is a portrayal of the things in my mental world that are mapped into the real world.

2、 About the content of the website

The content of the site will be roughly divided into several major sections, namely football, music, games, art and others. These are the things I am interested in, and I think I have some insights 🙂 (If you have different opinions, you can also express your views in the comments section below :D).

In the field of football, I will mainly focus on the matches I have watched. The teams are dominated by Real Madrid, Liverpool and the Chinese national team. The content is more inclined to the deconstruction and analysis of the tactics of the whole team. (Ability may be lacking, do not spray if you do not like it)

The content of the music field is mainly to recommend the music I like. Perhaps after further understanding will turn to the appreciation of the content of the arrangement.

The games space is going to be dominated by games I’ve created myself. Some indie games are also recommended :D.

        Firstly, I enjoy playing games. I have been designing games since my childhood. I play games with my friends for it is a bond between us. When I was in the elementary school, I designed many games and world views by myself. I once participated in the comic creation organized by the “Tuzki Club”. Particularly, together with my classmates, we created the “Tuzki Coin”, which was once circulated in Shenzhen Nanshan Foreign Language Elementary School. In junior high school, I created a board game called GEST and held a competition for it on the Junior campus of Baihe Foreign Language School. I have also designed three coherent virtual world frameworks based on cyberpunk. These above are all my explorations and attempts in the field of Game Design.

        Secondly, game is the ninth art form, containing a lot of interdisciplinary knowledge, such as history, geography, urban design, computer programming, painting art, and music production.

        Thirdly, games could realize my imaginations. For example, in a game, classical historical myths could be combined with contemporary science and technology; the real world could be connected with the virtual world. With the improvement of computing, machines can do more and more tasks through enhanced computing power. The future of collaboration between humans and artificial intelligence has arrived. Artificial intelligence can help me a lot in the game field. For instance, ChatGPT could provide me with some inspirations when I don’t know how to write certain codes. When I was trying to create a new species in my game, I can input some of my ideas first and then ask ChatGPT to draw a sketch. For example, in my imagination, Kesaloy is an ancient creature with multi-leg. This creature has a humanoid upper body with a huge brain and a lower body with octopus-like tentacles. The name of this kind of species is called Larlin. In fact, at the beginning, I didn’t have a very clear image about such creatures. However, after I input several ideas into the ChatGPT for a draft, the creature which the ChatGPT finally created has perfectly matched the imagination in my mind with only three trials. AI really helps me in my designs, including the living habits of these creatures and even something related to urban structures.

        Finally, I believe that the rapid development of the gaming industry is one of the current and future trends. Games will become an irreplaceable way for leisure and entertainment in people’s life. In most games, players could have much more power to influence and change the world than in traditional books and movies. From this perspective, we players are also a part of the world rather than bystanders regarding to books or movies.

        Each game has its own unique charm, maybe it’s some interesting system, creative mechanics or some impressive plot in the game.I’d like to mention here a game that I’ve been playing for the longest time, Albion Online.

        I have a deep understanding of the game and I am a ‘platinum’ player of the game. I think the best thing about the game is the guild system and the freedom to mix and match equipment. Unlike other MMOs, it’s a game where your position is determined by the equipment you wear. I can play as a tank, DPS, nurse, or even build my own builds with a single character, but I wouldn’t be so hooked on this game if that was all I had to do. In fact, I think one of the most fascinating parts of the game is the economic system.

        A part about the economic system is often overlooked by players. Albion’s economic market is a player-driven free market. As I mentioned above, Albion’s player function is determined by equipment, so equipment is the foundation of everything in this ecosystem. A wide variety of equipment is produced by players through a process of gathering resources, crafting equipment, and so on. Albion uses a map hazard scale, where higher level resources are found in more hazardous areas. Albion uses the map’s danger levels to classify resources into more dangerous areas, because of the mechanism of dropping/destroying equipment on death in the dangerous areas. Which means that When your character dies, your items can be picked up by others, but there is also a chance that they will disappear completely during the game.This provides a risk and reward system, where the higher the risk, the higher the reward. In terms of maps, Albion has also designed five different types of maps, each yielding different resources in different areas. This also leads to price differences between cities on the map, as the maps in their vicinity tend to be similar in type. This ensures the necessity and need for commerce between cities.The trading system is divided into direct trading and order trading, encouraging players to take advantage of market dynamics for higher profits. There is also a special black market system. Character Background Information

The protagonist is an Asian man who lived with his parents and sister in Kowloon, Hong Kong, before the war started. Although he is not rich, he is very happy. Until the war, in 2067, they were forced to move to a dungeon.

Father (Dead): In April 2068, his father was forced to join the war effort. He was declared dead a year later at the start of a full-scale nuclear war.

Protagonist (19): He was a more outgoing student before entering the dungeon. He has many close friends, among them LS and FL. His hobbies are playing soccer and guitar. These drones can’t be destroyed by counter-electric waves, so they are applied to the battlefield in large numbers. But its side effects were also very obvious. The comet made a huge crater in Kaisarory when it landed. This comet crater destroyed one-sixth of the surface of Kaisarory. Demons continued to eat away at the planet’s core in the comet crater. They wanted to turn Kaisarory into an outpost for their attack on this galaxy. Larbimund used his powerful magic to not only prevent the comet’s impact from reaching the rest of the planet’s races, but also to hide Kaisarory’s mutations from the watchful eyes of the Holy Alliance.

However, the evil aura released by the demons affected the reproduction of the entire planet. At the same time, the demons transformed the creatures that had been living on the surface of Comet Crater, creating the Ancient Demons.

The Ancient Demons massacred the Rallin clan. The demons used the energy of the Demon Eye Comet to seal the remains of the Lalrin in the far north. The few who escaped were also sealed in the Sea of Devouring. But Larrinius was not completely dead. Although his sanity was being eroded by the Demon Eye Comet, he was still searching for a chance to be unsealed.

The dragon race split into two major factions. Lorad was the leader of the dragons, who wanted to get rid of the old group life, and led the dragons to start a war to dominate the other races. This move was opposed by the conservative faction within the dragon race, led by Lloyd. As a result, the Battle of the Blood Dragons broke out. Lollard finally killed the dragon race leader Lloyd in single combat to establish the new king, who was also the first dragon king. Hi, It’s been a long time. I will continue to update my blog after being busy with numerous college applications.

First of all, I will briefly talk about my recent winter break project. i am working with my classmates to make a chess game on the computer using java code. This is my first time trying to make a game in pure code, and it’s also a good opportunity for me to get a deeper understanding of the game code and the logic behind game making software such as unity and UE. I think this will help me a lot in making a video game version of GEST in the future. It will allow me to experience and think about how to make a traditional, classic game as a computerized version first.

I’m about to finish this project and keep iterating on it to perfect its bugs.

The simple phrase surfaced on the computer screen like a plectrum sweeping across a guitar string, vibrating in my mind. I couldn’t help but return to the moment that first brought me to tears over a video game character.

Jackie Wells, a character from Cyberpunk 2077, remained a beacon of optimism despite the darkness surrounding him. On a rainy night after a mission, he handed me the relic, said his final “amigo,” and passed away peacefully. The game’s stunning graphics and evocative sound effects heightened the emotional impact of his death, bringing me to tears. It was then that I realized the profound narrative power of games and decided to pursue a career as a game developer. I wanted to craft characters and worlds that resonate deeply with players, leaving them moved and inspired.

My love for creating games began in elementary school, sketching simple designs inspired by Plants vs. Zombies and Clash of Clans. I fondly recall sunny afternoons with friends, navigating tank mazes drawn in our notebooks. But after experiencing Jackie’s story, I understood games were more than just a pastime—they are a perfect fusion of creativity, technology, and art, capable of delivering unique emotional experiences. This realization inspired me to turn my imaginative sketches into complex, immersive worlds.

The swimming pool outside my window became a sacred lake at the heart of my kingdom. The trees near my classroom transformed into the World Tree Yggdrasil, nourished by the holy lake. Tadpoles in a nearby pond turned into twisted swamp gods dwelling within Yggdrasil’s decaying roots. These evolving worlds ignited my passion for world-building and fueled my desire to develop games that combine storytelling, design, and emotional depth.

In high school, I took my first step toward realizing this dream by leading the design of GEST, a board game blending elements of card games. After organizing three beta-test tournaments and gathering feedback, I refined the game’s mechanics to improve its balance and competitiveness. Encouraged by the response, I expanded GEST into a fully realized universe, complete with three continents, Kaisaroy, Brudermonde, and Yolol, each with unique ecosystems shaped by my geography knowledge. I integrated magical races inspired by oriental design, created 3D-printed chess pieces, and used ChatGPT to enhance the narrative elements.

Seeking to deepen my skills, I completed an online game design course with Federico Fasce at Goldsmiths, University of London, and taught myself programming. I developed Find Yourself, a maze-shooter game set in 2072 where a war survivor recovers memories of battles against machines. The second-level map was inspired by Picasso’s Guernica, with the narrative intricately tied to its imagery, symbolizing the chaos of war.

Collaborative projects further honed my skills. During the Perfect World Game Program, I led a team to create a game proposal inspired by George Orwell’s 1984. Participating in the GMTK Game Jam 2024 with seven peers, we developed MeasureCraft, a 3D puzzle game. These experiences underscored the importance of teamwork, creativity, and adaptability in game development. Volunteering to teach vocational skills to disabled students also taught me that sensory impairments shouldn’t hinder anyone’s ability to engage with games, inspiring me to design inclusive and accessible experiences.

My future goal is to become a game designer with a career as a Creative Director, using game design to express my imagination, creativity, and critical thinking. I hope that one day people will feel the fascination of the games that I create, just as I felt when I first witnessed the demise of ‘Jackie Wells’.
